I don't know what happened to the last 2 months of my life. It started with a 4 day drive from NYC to LA for a 5 week Diane Birch tour that went directly into a Chromeo tour which I'm currently on. Everything has been a complete whirlwind and I really haven't had a chance to think much about anything lately... Anyways, we're in Europe now, headed towards the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival, then off to random places like Serbia, then around the US for another 6 weeks. It'll be a good one. Long, but good...

New Tour Dates posted. The outline for the next 4 months becomes clearer. I'm now going to sleep for the next 10 days cause it's pretty obvious I won't be sleeping after that...
See below on this page for a video of the Broken Social Scene gig I did on Letterman last week.

The last few weeks were ridiculously hectic. Lots of jumping around, back and forth kind of stuff.
March started out with a Swedish singer/songwriter named Erik Hassle. It was nice little gig that fell on my plate at the last minute, and we just did a bunch of promo in NY and LA. The rest of the month was SxSW and WMC with A-Trak. We spent a weekend in France right after, and then April was a giant mess of dates that included We Are Scientists, Broken Social Scene and Hollerado. The last gig of the month is tomorrow night with Sean Lennon's new project, The Goast of a Saber Tooth Tiger. Is that enough links for you? It was more than enough work for me.
There a few new Photos for your viewing pleasure, but I never caught up on the blog... It seems so 2007 at this point...
Plans for May to be decided this week. To tour or not to tour... that is the question...

So, in the last month I've started getting pretty busy again. It started out with some shows with Yoko Ono, which were pretty wild. Not every day people like Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Sonic Youth and the like just show up to sit in on a few tunes. It was a really amazing experience followed up with a couple trips to the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, first with Chromeo, then again a few days later with The Stills. Unfortunately, I left the games empty handed, no medals this time. Guess I'll have to go back in 4 yrs. And it would help if they created an event for me.
Also working diligently on bringing the blog up to date. I just need one more long flight and we'll be good. Same with pictures.
Tour Dates have been updated for the next month or so. Lots more coming, already booked through September, just can't announce it all yet ;)

So, welcome to a new decade. So far I've spent it sitting at home, *not* touring. What a weird feeling. The last show I did was New Year's Eve in LA with Chromeo, and this has now been the longest I've gone in about 10 yrs. without doing a show. That's going to change in a couple days when I head out for a few days with We Are Scientists, some guys I first met when out with The Stills and Kings of Leon a little over a year ago.
Aside from that, a few new dates are up on the Tour Dates page for late-February, when I make my Olympics debut. That's right, I'm an Olympian. Sort of. But not really.

It's here. I don't believe it. The end of my touring year has arrived. I type this sitting at 36,000 ft on my final flight home for 2009. Incredible. I now have about 2 weeks before I do another show, which is New Year's with Chromeo down in LA. Technically that show is in 2010, so I'm wasting no time getting the year going. I don't know if I'll ever be home again at this rate...
The last 2+ weeks were spent running around Europe with A-Trak. It was a really good time, had a chance to hook up with friends I don't see very often, but it also brought on epic levels of fatigue and exhaustion. You'd think that flying to every show would be a good thing. Once I recover a bit I'll update the blog with everything from the last 6 weeks.
So tired...

So tired... 6 weeks till sleep, counting the minutes....
Just finished a quick run around America with Noah and the Whale. More than half the shows sold out, the guys were great, overall a really good time. Next up is random dates in Canada with The Stills, a couple weeks in Europe with A-Trak and I finish off the year in sunny California with Chromeo. Tour dates have been updated.
I'm going to sleep now. More later...
I've had a few people ask me about a post on my blog from last year regarding the proper use of the rock horn, so, here's the direct link: A Lesson in Rock Horns. Enjoy.
